Around this place my feet are tired from carrying me over the land With my head in the clouds, you know that i'm lucky if i don't hit the ceiling fan My arms in between, hanging on a bean for a body, but it's all in one piece In my second hand dress my hair in a mess my head in the clouds and my feet carrying me over the land But I walk with out fight, left after right, trying to be light on the land There's a million things wrong, a million sad songs, a million lives left in ghost towns, my mother would say "it'll be ok, just do what you can, what you can" but with the weight of the world and the weight of this girl my feet are tired from carrying, carrying me over the land Oh one day I'll get tired, my body will fall, bury me deep in the ground let the roots of the trees wrap around my body, let my soul be heaven bound If the wind misbehaves, leads me to an early grave, when my feet can no longer stand You'll know that i'm fine, they're tired from trying to carry me over the land, carry me over the land. In my second hand dress my hair in a mess my head in the clouds and my feet Carrying me over the land

Oh, no, the rooster crows, going on and on about the morning I don't want to get up, so I'm doing my best to ignore him Will these crumbs keep you quiet? If so then take the muffin top but if that don't satisfy it, I'm going to chuck this big ol' rock And if that rock don't make you hush I'm going to look for something bigger How about this whiskey bottle after I take the final swig here And if this whiskey bottle don't work I don't know what else to try but if I hear another chirp one of us is going to die Oh no ma, it wasn't me, I don't know where that rooster's gone and sorry I missed my morning chores... I must of slept to long!

Tiger Tame 02:34
It ain't easy to be cool when your feelings aren't the same it's hard to keep the tiger tiger tame it ain't easy to keep it tame when the tiger is out, there's no pulling on the reigns it ain't easy to keep it tame It ain't easy to be kind when you're feeling pretty mean it's hard to keep the kitchen kitchen clean it ain't easy to keep it clean when the dishes are dirty, you're feeling pretty mean it ain't easy to keep it clean How am I suppose to be the one smiling, shining, having all the fun when the dishes are dirty you're feeling pretty mean how am I suppose to keep it clean? when the tiger's out there's no pulling on the reigns it ain't easy to keep it tame. it ain't easy. it ain't easy. it ain't easy.

The honey pours slow when it's cold outside takes me an hour to sweeten' my tea I crawled out of bed late waiting for the sun to shine through the shadows that keep falling on me It's an Earl Grey morning i fill my mason jar no sugar baby i'm waiting for my honey to pour The kettle howls from across the house the sirens outside roll down the street every direction is coming at me loud calm down darling, sit and have a drink of this earl grey morning i fill my mason jar no sugar baby i'm waiting for my honey to pour You take yours straight are done before I have time to let mine cool you don't have to say it, i can read the signs both of us playing the fool on this earl grey morning i fill my mason jar no sugar baby i'm waiting for my honey to pour but I like the way you hang your gaze on my face like it's a coat rack and you're warm inside lean me up against the wall, i'll try to hold on to it all before you break or my arms get tired of this earl grey morning i fill my mason jar no sugar baby i'm waiting for my honey to pour

When you're calling on the goddesses and the keepers of the land to keep you safe amongst your travels on this road that winds and bends when you're longing for familiar conversation from old friends but landing on the doorsteps of new ones... Don't show up empty handed keep priorities straight strange gets familiar at an alarming rate when you're night to night door to door couch to couch you connect the dots a lot it doesn't hurt to show up with cheap wine and dark chocolate... The vintage doesn't matter the budget's understood (just make sure the chocolate is good) if your rambling heart is jumping off a cliff and you would follow bring something to munch on something to swollow... Cheap wine and dark chocolate keep priorities straight strange gets familiar at an alarming rate when you're night to night door to door couch to airstream to futon to floor bring something to munch on something to pour Cheap wine and dark chocolate keep priorities straight strange gets familiar at an alarming rate when you're night to night door to door couch to couch you connect the dots a lot It don't hurt to show up with cheap wine and dark chocolate

Using bodies, vehicles to get around I was waiting, that is understating the sound of the artesian well falling on the concrete never resting, still soaking that ol' street we keep coming back, filling bottles and jugs we keep coming back, punks, state workers and thugs all are thirsty, seeking the source of the Sound using bodies as vehicles to get around run, walk, bike, run, walk, bike, run, walk, run, walk, run, walk, bike, fuck my body is strong but my heart's had hard luck i was training for a marathon on the wrong trail now I'm riding the train the wrong way on the rail we keep coming back, it's all i know how to do we keep coming back, i am waiting for you they say if you drink it you can only get so far without coming back run, walk, bike, run, walk, bike, run, walk, run, walk, run, walk, bike, fuck my body is strong but my heart's had hard luck we keep coming back, it's all I know how to do we keep coming back, I am waiting for you we keep coming back, filling bottles and jugs we keep coming back, punks, state workers, and thugs they say if you drink it you can only get so far without coming back.

I once knew a river dweller she was quite a feller and I always tried to tell her she was the one for me The first time that I saw her knee deep in murky water catching catfish for the fire underneath that old oak tree She dried her legs in burlap opened up her knapsack said hey there what you looking at come have a bite to eat so i offered her my whiskey it came back to me empty she said a girl can sure get thirsty in this Mississippi heat I picked up my guitar while she smoke on her cigar and i tried to serenade her oh so earnestly she said i know what you're doing but you can quit your woo'in I'm just fine here on my own I don't care much for company I once knew a river dweller she was quite a feller and I always tried to tell her she was the one for me

I sing low in the morning and I sing high in the afternoon oh yes the daylight, oh yes the daylight and when it gets late night I sing out of tune I can't help it when I feel like singing I can't help it if I don't know the words I sing out some song sounds with or without meaning Just to be singing, I don't care if I'm heard I run slow in the morning and I run hard if I'm in the mood I create the time and space to move at my own pace I'm not trying to win a race, it's just to feel good I can't help it if I feel like running I can't help it if I don't know the way I got two feet to move on, a body that's strong I ate a big breakfast, and I got all day I dance weird if you're looking and I dance even more weird if the spirit moves me. If you can't get crazy when you are dancing, where are you going to get crazy? Where are you going to get crazy? I can't help it if I feel like dancing I can't help it if I can't keep a beat That's not the point here The point of dancing is just to let your spirit move free You sing low in the morning and you sing high in the afternoon I love to hear you, to hear you singing Whether you're singing in or out of tune

about

Pantyhose Popscreen Presents: is Kendl Winter's series of low fi recordings and home makings. A panyhose popscreen is a diy way of making a screen that deflects plosives and hisses from hitting the microphone. Making one is as easy as wrapping a pair of tights around a hanger.
The Glass House Sessions are the first recordings of the Pantyhose Pop Screen recording series. 24 songs were chosen from a couple days of recording in Kendl's room in Olympia, WA, 14 put on the actual record, and 360 will be printed in the first pressing. They are new and old tunes, performed live on the only two tracks that worked on her 4 track analogue tape recorder.
